Sonic Youth as Ramones from a Denver married-couple-plus-dynamite-drummer who figure somebody might as well go pop with those tricks. Even if they succeed, it won't last--where their models had too much principle to break through, they don't have enough to hang on. But song junkies with dual citizenship in their contiguous aural universes have been taken for much duller rides. B+
